Release Notes for Version 6.3.5 June 2003

The PowerTerm Mobile emulates the exact display of a chosen terminal. It presents host applications exactly as they would appear on an actual terminal. Once the PowerTerm Mobile connects to a host computer, all host operations can be performed as if the PowerTerm Mobile is an actual host terminal.

New Features

Session Switcher
A new feature, which provides quick access to a list of activated sessions.
Note: One session must be open already.
When tapping the PowerTerm icon in the Start icon, a list of sessions appears.
In the list you can choose to open a new session or to switch to an existing one.
For Pocket PC 2002 version:
The 'X' button in the PowerTerm window, behaves as a smart minimize button, according to the PocketPC 2002 standard.
Font customization available in scaled screen. You can select font, style, size, and width.
Network printing support capability.
Overall optimized performance.
IRDA printing support.
SSH security support.

Soft Input Panel (SIP) - A specially designed keyboard for terminal emulation use.

Enables you to save and modify emulation setup settings.

Enables you to save parameters for all sessions.
Language support for most European languages (Western + Eastern).
Enables you to select the system fonts you want to be displayed in the PowerTerm window or use the default PowerTerm fonts.
Control of color selection and screen attributes.
Enables you to select screen contents in the work area, using standard cut/copy/paste.

Important

The default number of characters (columns) per displayed line, and the number of lines to be displayed in the work area are: 25x12

To restore the default values for non-IBM emulations:

Select Terminal Setup. The Terminal Setup dialog appears.
Select the Display tab. The Display property page is displayed.
Type '25' in the Other field.
Select 12 in the Lines per Screen dropdown list.
Click OK.

To restore the default values for IBM emulations:

Select Terminal Setup. The Terminal Setup dialog appears.
Select the General tab. The General property page is displayed.
Check Alternative Size.
Type '25' in Columns.
Type '12' in Rows.
Click OK.
