Sales Associate
For more than nine years Ericom® Software has been a leading provider of corporate connectivity, e-business, wireless and business-to-business solutions (www.ericom.com) and, despite the bad economy, Ericom has continued double digit growth and is now looking to expand its internal sales team based in Closter NJ. The individual we are seeking will report to the Director of Sales and handle inside sales and support the regional Sales Managers in further expanding their territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospect and close deals over the phone.
- Follow up with potential customers to move deals forward as directed by the regional sales managers.
- Keep management informed on a regular basis as to the status of projects and opportunities

Technical Services Engineer
As part of Ericom's Technical Services Department you will provide high quality, first level end user support via telephone and e-mail. You will diagnose and resolve most 1st level problems experienced by our software users, including developing Visual Basic task automation and integration procedures. Must be accountable for developing basic knowledge of standard products, procedures and technologies.
A successful candidate will be one that is enthusiastic in assisting customers and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. You will report to the Director of Technical Services.
Specific Responsibilities
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times.
- Provide support through written (electronic/e-mail & web response) and verbal (telephone) correspondence.
- Perform first-level problem analysis/resolution for Ericoms software.
- Log all support requests into the Helpdesk database (Footprints). Must ensure descriptions are clear, complete, and accurate.
- Process software activations requests via telephone and electronic mail.
- Prioritize and escalate calls to the appropriate teams.
- Develop Visual Basic and TCL procedures and scripts for customization and support requests.
- Assist in maintaining technical documentation as well as knowledgebase.
- Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Enthusiasm toward working in a customer-oriented support/help desk environment.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems (Win2000, WinXP, Win2003, ETC).
- Knowledge of basic programming and scripting (i.e., VB, C, Java, ASP, TCL, etc.)
- Knowledge of networking, Mac OS X, and Linux a plus.
- Ability to become familiar with in-house application for basic (level 1) technical support.
- Ability to work in a multitasking, team-oriented environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Regional Sales Managers
Regional Sales Managers are responsible for certain territories in North America for all products and services offered by Ericom.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years software sales, including full sales-cycle management.
- Demonstrated sales success.
- Ability to work in a team sales environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Formal sales training, with a known methodology preferred.
- Strong commitment level.
- BA/BS Academic Degree.
Requirements:
- Ability to generate revenue in existing and potential accounts.
- Develop partnerships with end-users.
- Develop and execute sales plans.
- Develop individual initiatives to drive revenue.
- Travel as required.
Technical Support Internship
A successful candidate will be one that is enthusiastic in assisting customers and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
Required Skills:
- Helping existing and potential customers install and use our software products.
- Logging support requests and ensuring that they contain complete customer information.
- Providing basic software support through written and verbal correspondence.
- Escalating second-level help desk calls to appropriate analysts.
- Conducting QA tests on software products.
- Assisting with packaging deliverables and burning CDs for distribution.
Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Enthusiasm toward working with customers.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the software industry.
- Knowledge of using Windows XP, Office, Internet, and e-mail.
- Troubleshooting knowledge with Mac and Linux operating systems preferred.
- High school diploma.

Software Development Engineer
Required Skills:
To determine, design and implement a set of systems and usability requirements for thin client and mobile products.
To write technical design documents describing the architecture, use of third party software, object model, etc.
To lead group of experienced software engineers through the various phases of the product development, including coding and code reviews.
Requirements:
- University degree in software engineering or computer science.
- Must be experienced in SW development in CE and other embedded environments
- At least 3 years of experience in related areas.
- Knowledge of C, C++ and Java.
- Familiarity with Win32 ,WinCE, WBT, Pocket PC and other environments.
- Experience in Object-Oriented architecture and programming.
- Experience in design and implementation of thin client and other embedded software.
- Fluent in English.
